Updated story: Man found dead in submerged vehicle in Brighton
Vehicle found in marshy area in Town of Brighton
The Kenosha County Dive Team, in conjunction with other agencies, are working to remove an overturned vehicle found in a marsh in the Town of Brighton.
According to Town of Paris Fire Chief Roland Iwen, who confirmed the report, there was a person reportedly found inside the vehicle in the 228th block of Highway 142.
Condition of the person is unknown, but the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office is on scene.
Iwen states along with the Town of Paris, officials from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, Kansasville Fire Department and Department of Natural Resources are on scene.
Also, a Town of Burlington law enforcement official from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office is on scene.
