Bianca Andersen joins Falcons’ Dopuch, Hrncar, Salerno on 1st team

Following her Southern Lakes Conference title and a WIAA Division 1 state girls tennis appearance, Wilmot Union High School sophomore Bianca Andersen was named player of the year in the SLC, which revealed its list of first and second team performers this week.

Bianca Andersen, however, is not the only player from the area to receive an acknowledgment on the first team, which include Westosha Central High School junior Stephanie Dopuch in singles and the senior conference champion duo of Alyssa Hrncar and Tori Salerno.

The first team honors are the second straight for Bianca Andersen and the No. 1 doubles team of Hrncar/Salerno.

For Dopuch, her name has appeared on the ledger of conference performers since her freshman year, when she received honorable mention and second team honors in doubles with Maria Salerno in 2014.

While the four athletes were on the first team, Bianca Andersen’s sister, Bella, was named the second team along with the Falcons duo of junior Ashley Wells and senior Michelle Belmont.

Bella Andersen, who was on the second team as a sophomore, received honorable mention her freshman and junior seasons.

Earning honorable mention were freshman Brynn Amundson of Wilmot and the Falcons junior duo of Brooke Wysiatko and Katie Barningham.
