Westosha Central High School’s Meghan McNealy achieved perfection Tuesday night against Elkhorn.

McNealy, the 5-foot-2 junior guard, came off the bench in the first half to sink all five of her 3-point attempts, added a jumper and a free throw to give the Falcons a 37-14 edge entering halftime.

Nine of her 18 points came in the Falcons 19-0 run, sparked by 5-10 junior Siera Sieberth’s jumper to deadlock the contest 2-2.

Following McNealy’s 18 first half points, the Falcons did not let up in the second half, outscoring the Elks 32-17 to produce a 69-31 victory.

Also, McNealy had a steal, a rebound and two assists.

Falcons’ 5-2 senior guard Todora Lux, meanwhile, produced 12 points, six from the arc and had three steals along with three rebounds.

Westosha Central 5-7 junior Stephanie Dopuch contributed to the Falcons’ 19-0 first half run with a baseline jumper and a 3-pointer to finish with five points and four rebounds.

Lindsey Kimpler, who also played a role in the 19-0 run, scored six of her nine points from the perimeter.

Kimpler, a 5-4 senior guard, chipped in two assists and a steal.

Senior Alyssa Hrncar, who finished with seven points, led the Falcons with three assists.

The 5-6 Hrncar also tied with Lux and 5-9 senior forward Anna Leigh Niles for the team lead in steals with three.

Defensively, Westosha Central received a team-leading six rebounds from 5-9 junior forward Shannen Griffiths, one more than 5-8 junior forward Brianna Reid.

Reid, however, contributed two assists and had a steal.

Sieberth, a forward, finished with six points.

Leading the winless Elks (0-4, 0-1 SLC) in scoring was sophomore Ryley Rand with nine points.

The Falcons improved to 2-2 (1-0 SLC) following Tuesday’s win.

Writer’s note: Reid was incorrectly listed as a senior in the original version of the story and has been corrected to reflect her actual class year.
