Winter Weather Advisory Issued Sunday

The first snow accumulation of the winter expects to arrive into Southeast Wisconsin, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a winter weather advisory for Sunday.

A winter weather advisory, in effect from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., means that periods of snow can cause travel difficulties, the National Weather Service states.

“A period of roughly six hours of light snow is expected,” the NWS statement reports. “The snow will cause reduced visibilities and slippery conditions.”

Snow is anticipated to start at 8 a.m. near Fond du Lac and Watertown, with an estimated arrival into Kenosha County an hour later, ending before 5 p.m.
