Volunteer at GOA & Tour the Sanctuary

The event starts promptly at 10:30am. Everyone will gather outside of our Big Barn for an introduction to Goats of Anarchy before receiving direction for the volunteer shift. Volunteering can/may include mucking stalls, raking fields, washing buckets and stalls, dusting, and sweeping. All the while you can interact with some of our most affectionate and infamous goats (Ansel the Destroyer, anyone?).
After volunteering, our staff will take you on a tour around the sanctuary where you can meet our sheep & alpaca, blind residents, Robogoats, and the special needs herd!
A selection of merchandise will be available for cash purchase upon completion of the tour.
Important notes:
- All guests must be at least 16 years of age.
- Guests aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- We are located in Hampton, NJ. An exact address will be provided to you via email no later than the Friday before your visit. Please check to make sure your email address is correct as entered.
- All guests will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival.
- Given the nature of volunteering, please wear closed-toe, appropriate footwear that you won’t mind getting dirty and muddy. Keep this in mind for clothing as well, since our goats will want to get up very close–especially if you sit down. 🙂
- Please refrain from wearing jewelry during your visit.
- A full tour may not be possible during inclement weather. However, you will be surrounded by the majority of our animals during your volunteer shift!
- The tour will end at 1:30pm so that our staff can continue on taking care of our animal residents.
- Charge your phone batteries ahead of time! We may be biased, but you’ll probably want to take lots of pictures. 😉
