Spring elections are Tuesday

Voters head to the polls Tuesday, April 3 for the spring election. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It’s a full gamut for voters, who will find incumbents unchallenged in some races, and other races with a full slate.

On the national level, voters will be asked to chose which Republican candidate (Newt Gingrich Jon Huntsman Mitt Romney Michele Bachman Ron Paul or Rick Santorum) they may want to run against President Barack Obama.

On the state level, for Circuit Court Judge Branch 2 Edward Antaramian and Jason Rossell are challenging.

Circuit Court Judge Branch 7 S. Michael Wilk and Court of Appeals District 2 Richard S. Brown are unchallenged.

Here’s how the local races are lined up:

 

Village of Twin Lakes

Three village board positions expire this year and three incumbents with no challengers, will be seeking re-election. They are Tom Connolly, Mike Moran and Jeremy Knoll.

 

Town of Salem

Following a primary election last month, candidates for Town Supervisor are Gail Peckler Dziki, Dennis Faber, Mike Culat and Steven Brown. Vote for two.

In Town Supervisor race for Wards 1 through 10, Dziki faces Ted Kmiec; vote for one.

 

Town of Randall

There are two open seats and three candidates. Incumbents Mike Halvorson and Robert Gehring are seeking re-election to two-year terms and are being challenged by Mark Halvey.

 

Village of Silver Lake:

There are six candidates running for three seats. Trustee Barbara Ironside is not seeking re-election.

Incumbent Sue Gerber and Chris Willkomm are seeking re-election in addition to David Sno, Jo Lasdasky Cynthia Schwebke and Roger Johnson. The three candidates that get the most votes will be seated.

 

Village of Paddock Lake

Paddock Lake has three open seats and five candidates in the field.

Incumbents Joe Rieseelmann and Barb Brenner are seeking re-election to the two year terms and are being challenged by Glenda Morey, Jill Smart and Terry Burns.

 

Village of Bristol

The Village of Bristol has two open seats and two incumbents Ruth Atwood and Caroline Owens are seeking re-election unchallenged for the two-year terms.

 

Westosha Central High School

Four seats are expiring on the Central School Board and four incumbents are running unchallenged: representing Paddock Lake, Cheryl Baysinger; At Large: Mary Ellen Pearsall and Wheatland: Roger Runkel.

 

Wilmot Union High School

Wilmot High School has two open positions and three candidates: Cheri Engalnd, Michael Faber and Noadine Slowsinki, incumbent, are running.

 

Wheatland School

Wheatland School board has one open seat, Troy Bruley is seeking the three-year term unopposed.

 

Lakewood School

There are two candidates for the three-year positions on the Twin Lake school board Tammy Ledene and Patricia Platts. There are no challengers.

 

Bristol School District No. 1

School board members Katie Horton, Amy Hanson and Andrew Lawrence; vote for two.

 

Trevor-Wilmot School District

Dean Troyer and Lynn T. Jaeger are running unopposed for school board.

 

Brighton Elementary District

Two candidates are running for school board president: Judy Uhlenhake and Linda Perona. Voters are asked to vote for one.
