ChocolateFest pageant recruitment begins

The Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest Scholarship Pageant is recruiting young women to compete in its pageant on Saturday, May 26, at 2 p.m., on the Chocolate Festival grounds.

To be eligible contestants must be 17 years old by the day of the pageant, and no older than 23 years old, live, work, or go to school for at least six months in Racine or western Kenosha counties, including UW–Parkside, or eastern Walworth County, including UW– Whitewater.

As part of the competition each contestant will be judged in a 10 minute private interview, a 90 second talent presentation, poise and fitness in swimwear, evening gown, and on-stage question.

The winner will compete in the Miss Wisconsin Scholarship Pageant in June 2013.

The Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest Scholarship Pageant is part of the Miss America Organization, the largest privately funded scholarship opportunity for young women in the world.
