Fellow Mortals Wildlife Hospital invites participants to join in a celebration of Earth Day at Meadowlark Acres Nature and Education Center, N5146 North Road, Burlington. This event takes place Saturday, April 21, between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Learn about nature and simple ways to protect wildlife and the environment. There will be educational programs, guided nature walks, an education ranger’s table and a gift shop packed full of wildlife-related items. There are walking trail maps available for those who prefer to walk alone and scavenger hunts for children of all ages.
First Response for Wildlife 101 will be offered at two time slots: 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. This 45-minute program will give tips and information about how to prevent injury and orphaning in wildlife. There will be time to ask questions and see some of the education birds.
Education programs and guided walks are each $5 per person. Attendance by registration only.
