AARP driver safety program to be held May 14, 15

Increase your confidence behind the wheel with the AARP Driver Safety Program.  The AARP has developed an 8-hour safety course that covers many important topics to older drivers, such as:

• learn defensive driving techniques;

• tune-up driving skills;

• learn the effects of aging on driving;

• how to remain a safe driver;

• dealing with turns, blind-spots and more.

This 8-hour program will be offered in two sessions on Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You must attend both sessions. Successful completion of the class may make you eligible for discounts on your auto insurance. Contact your insurance agent to see if you qualify for the discount.

A $12 registration fee is required for AARP members.  The cost for non-members is $14 Payment must be made in the form of a check payable to AARP on the first day of class, Monday, May 14.    All course materials are provided in the registration fee.
