JEANETTE M. BIALEK

Jeanette Marie Bialek, 85, of Twin Lakes, died following a long illness on May 3, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 29, 1926, to the late John and Anna (Soch) Augustyn.

On Aug. 7, 1948, she married Norbert Bialek. She lived in Chicago before moving to Twin Lakes in 1960.  Jeanette worked for more than 25 years as a school teacher at Holy Name, Brookwood and Lakewood elementary schools, and she especially enjoyed teaching math and science.

She was a member of the Wisconsin Education Association, received her BS degree in Chemistry from DePaul University, and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband; children, John; Paul; Peter (Janita); Janet Jackson, Anne (Salvatore) Lombardi; Elizabeth (Daniel) Harris; Susie (Mark) Wiemeler; David (Stephanie); and Julie (Paul) Kokkin; grandchildren, Jarrett (Gwendolyn); Dwight Jackson, Dennis Jackson; Jane; Andrew; Matthew “Bunky;” Ellen; Jack Kokkin; Grace Kokkin; Caroline Kokkin; and Edward; great grandchild Madelynn; sister-in-law Alfreida Augustyn, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Edward Augustyn and Albin (Leona) Augustyn, and son-in-law Dave Jackson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 700 N. Lake Ave., Twin Lakes.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made in Jeanette’s name to either St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Compassionate Care Hospice, 1126 S. 70th St., Suite N200, West Allis, WI, 53214.
