DAVID A. LOVELY

David A. Lovely, 66, of Kenosha, died May 5, 2012, at his home.  He was born in Massachusetts on Sept. 19, 1945, to the late Harry and Doris (Dolby) Lovely.

He married the late Elizabeth A. Wiegers on May 27, 1979; she preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2009.

David served in the United States Army and also worked for the Kenosha Achievement Center as a food manager.  He also owned and operated the B&D’s Diner of Twin Lakes for 20 years.

He was a member of the Denver University Alumni Association. He enjoyed reading, watching foreign movies and going to museums.

David is survived by his son, David Jr. (Jim Lai), of Chicago; sisters Janet Blaski of Brownsville, Texas and Nora Lovely of Virginia; brothers Charles (Jenny) of Twin Lakes; John (Carol) of Chicago; Harry (Rita) of Spokane, Wash., and Peter  of Twin Lakes.

He was further preceded in death by his sister-in-law Dorothy.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Thursday May 10, 2012 at 8 p.m. at the Haase-Lockwood Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of services.
