KENOSHA PUBLIC MUSEUMS ARE DESIGNATED COOLING CENTERS

The Kenosha Public Museum, Civil War Museum and Dinosaur Discovery Museum are designated cooling centers during the summer heat emergency. The public is welcome to cool down inside the air conditioned museums during regular business hours.

The Kenosha Public Museum and Civil War Museum are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday-Monday. The Dinosaur Discovery Museum is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday and closed Mondays. The Public and Civil War Museums will be open 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 4 and the Dinosaur Discovery Museum will be closed.

The museums are free and open to the public. The Civil War Museum’s main exhibit, “The Fiery Trial,” is $7 for adults, $5 for Kenosha residents and free for members and children ages 15 and under.
