Town Hall meeting set to discuss jobs, economy

The Kenosha County Human Services Committee is hosting a Town Hall meeting to discuss jobs and the economy, at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 23, at the Kenosha Public Museum’s Daimler Chrysler Room, 5500 First Ave., Kenosha.

The two featured speakers will be Wandy Miezio, a regional labor economist from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, and John Koskinen, Wisconsin’s chief economist and the head of the Division of Research and Policy in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.

Kenosha County residents are invited to attend and ask questions and share thoughts about the area economy and jobs, said County Board Supervisor Dayvin Hallmon, chairman of the county Human Services Committee.

“With all the anxiety around jobs and the economy, I think is past time we seek professional advice,” Hallmon said. “We also need to hear from Kenosha County residents about the impact on them during these difficult economic times.”

For more information about the meeting, contact Hallmon at (262) 496-4230.
