‘Shelter Them From the Storm’ Awareness Walk, Vendor Fair is Oct. 6

Children’s Horizons (WCH) organization raise awareness of domestic abuse and sexual assault by participating in the “Shelter Them from The Storm” Awareness Walk and Vendor Fair, which will be held on Oct. 6 at the Women’s Club located at 6028 8th Ave., Kenosha.

      Free bagels and coffee will be served during registration from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

      The walk begins at 10 a.m. and will head downtown for about one hour. Return to the Women’s Club to listen to guest speakers and shop at our vendor fair. Approximately 30 vendors will be there, from Avon, Miche, Lia Sophia, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Tupperware, Tastefully Simple and much more.        The Fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to the public. There will be a Style show at 1 p.m. that will feature apparel and accessories from Nifty Thrifty Resale Shop. Participants have the option of obtaining pledges to help raise money for WCH.

      Consider bringing a personal care, paper good or non-perishable food item for WCH’s shelter. WCH will also be collecting new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants for the Winter Wraps program. Coats will be distributed to Kenosha families in need at the end of Oct. through Holiday House.
