TLPD Report

Aug. 1

Animal call

      ● At 8:39 a.m., complainant from 100 block of Hillside Dr. called advising that there is an injured goose in her back yard. It appears that it cannot fly. Officers responded and advised that he captured the goose and the complainant will be taking the goose to Fellow Mortals. Officers cleared;

Disorderly conduct

      ● At 11:11 a.m., Kenosha Joint Services transferred a 911 call from a female party from the 300 block of E. Main St., who stated that she and her boyfriend had a fight last night and she wants to file a report. The male subject took some belongings and left last night and she is afraid he will come back and hurt her. Officers responded. Complainant and her brother came to PD to make statements;

Lost items

      ● At 12:46 p.m., party called from the 400 block of N. Lake Ave. advising that she lost her wallet when she left it on top of her vehicle when she drove away from the TL Amoco. Wallet is a multi-colored “31” soft wallet, containing $30 and numerous cards and IDs. Entered in lost property book;

Suspicious activity

● At 1:55 p.m., complainant called from 1600 block of Wilmot Ave. requesting an officer to take a report of a sticky substance all over his two vehicles. Officer responded and took information and advised it was soap that was put on vehicles;

Harassing phone calls

      ● At 3:24 p.m.,                    complainant came into PD to report harassing phone call and texts from subject. Detective made contact with subject and was warned to stop contacting complainant;

Lost item

      ● At 3:59 p.m., complainant advised lost cell phone on Hickory Rd. Described as a Samsung Galaxy 3S with a pink and grey cover. Desk took information and added to lost property log.

 

Aug. 2

Hit and run

      ● At 10:05 a.m.,                  owner of Snack Shack called advising that a vehicle hit an employee’s vehicle in the parking lot and then left the area. A customer got the license plate number. Officers responded and spoke to the owner of the damaged vehicle and to the driver of the offending vehicle and got information for “minor property damage accident report”;

Suspicious person

      ● At 7:38 p.m., complainant came to the PD to speak to an officer because while she was at a friend’s house on Esch Rd., the friend’s neighbors were watching her, then proceeded to follow her. Complainant said she drove into Genoa City, lost them there, then continued to Woodstock. She said her lawyer advised her to speak to an officer. Complainant did state there was a five-hour delay in her reporting the incident. An officer spoke to the complainant. It was determined that nothing criminal had occurred. Complainant was advised that if the same thing occurred again and she feels threatened she needs to contact the PD immediately. Officer cleared.

 

Aug. 3

Disorderly conduct

      ● At 4:09 a.m., anonymous caller advised that there was very loud music coming from the 500 block of McCole Rd. Officers responded. The music was turned down. One subject was given a verbal warning.

 

Aug. 4

Disorderly conduct

      ● At 6:02 a.m., KCJS transferred a 911 call from the complainant advising that a house guest has become unwelcome and she’d like him to leave. She advised he was intoxicated and had become annoying. The subject had a warrant and was taken into custody on that;

Animal at large

      ● At 11:51 a.m., complainant advised he found a dog that looks like it broke off its chain, and is dragging part of it with him. Black and white mixed breed and very friendly. An officer picked up a large black and white dog with one blue eye and one brown eye and a blue collar, and it was taken to the kennel;

Suspicious person

      ● At 3:51 p.m., an officer advised he would be out with a male and female subject in front of Twin Lakes Marine. The female was laying in the grass. Officers advised the subjects were intoxicated and trying to walk home. A female subject offered to give them a ride home and officers cleared;

Tenant/Landlord issues

      ● At 5:38 p.m., a complainant called stating she had a male subject squatting in her basement and she wanted him removed. Officers spoke to both parties. It was determined that the male subject had been residing there for 6 months, receiving mail there and the complainant was advised she would have to go through the eviction process. Officers cleared;

Disorderly conduct

      ● At 6:05 p.m., complainant called from the 300 block of E. Hunt Ave. stating a female was throwing her roommate’s clothes outside and putting soap all over them. Officers responded back to the residence. Both parties were spoken to again and advised to stay away from each other until the eviction process could be started. Officers cleared.

 

Aug. 5

Theft

      ● At 9:20 a.m., KCJS transferred a 911 call from complainant who advised his wallet was stolen from his vehicle while parked in the 100 block of Holy Hill Rd. overnight;

Theft

      ● At 7:01 p.m., complainant called from the 2200 block of Laurie Ct. stating he needed to file a report for job site tools being stolen. An officer responded and took the information;

Suspicious person

      ● At 8:30 p.m., Chief Racer forwarded information that he received from an anonymous person who said while she was out running, a teal, older model Chevy pickup truck with a silver stripe down the side honked and pulled over in front of the subject near the above business. When she circled the block and came back past Sentry, the vehicle was parked in the parking lot facing the sidewalk. An officer responded to follow up on the information. Extra patrol was added for the area per the chief.

 

Aug. 6

Lost item

      ● At 8:26 a.m., a complainant reported she was missing Samsung Galaxy 4S cell phone with an Aztec multi-color phone case, possibly lost at Sentry. Desk entered into missing property log;

Disorderly conduct

      ● At 10:49 p.m., complainant called from 600 block of Wilmot Ave. advising that a female neighbor in the apt. building has been banging on the floor and walls all evening. Complainant did talk to her but she ignored her and told her to call the police. Officers responded and spoke with both subjects. Both were advised to get along and to keep the music down. Both parties agreed and officers cleared.

 

Aug. 7

Lost dog

      ● At 8:53 a.m., a complainant advised he was missing his 8-year-old female black Labrador Retriever named Bailey. She is 70 pounds and has a sore on her tail. She was last seen at W565 Highland Ave., Genoa City;

Found items

      ● At 5:20 p.m., two pairs of sunglasses were found at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. They appear to be female and male sunglasses, unknown brand. Placed in lost and found drawer;

Fire call

      ● At 11:06 p.m., there was a barn fire in the 29000 block of 41st St.
