Slow No Wake will stand until further notice

The Village of Twin Lakes held a special board meeting July 3 and learned legally, the village is unable to change the status of slow no wake and it will remain in effect until further notice. The lake is currently 3.5 feet over the normal high mark, due to an estimated 9 inches of rain that has fallen since early June. That, combined with runoff, have pushed the lakes past its normal level. Due to the high water level, there will be no Aquanut performance during Libertyfest. The cardboard boat races and duck races will on as planned. The lakes as open for boating, fishing and swimming. Any change in status will be posted on the village’s website and community sign located next to the Chamber office.
