Libertyfest contest winners announced

Libertyfest packed in the crowds, despite the slow no wake hanging over the lakes. Hometown celebrity Megan Ruger, fresh from this season of The Voice and nationwide touring, returned home to perform Saturday night

The Twin Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Business Association announced the parade winners from the July 5 event:

First place: the Republican Party of Kenosha for their float;

Second place: The Twin Lakes American Legion Color Guard;

Third place: the Jolly Giant Stilt Walkers. T

 

Duck race winners:

New this year was the introduction of the Duck Races.

First place: Chasity Mikal;

Second place: Pam Mytych;

Third place: Karen Patton;

Fourth place: Mysterious Bob;

Fifth place: Mark Gurda; Sixth place: Sandy Tarr.

 

Twin Lakes Idol winners:

The winner of the July 5 Twin Lakes Idol singing competition was Megan Zeien, who won $100; second place was awarded to Kim Struck, who was awarded $50 and third place was awarded to Aron Spinler, who was awarded $25.

 

Chamber Golf outing is Aug. 20

The Twin Lakes 2014 Chamber Golf Outing, sponsored by the Twin Lakes Country Club, will be held on Aug. 20, with an 11 a.m. check-in and noon Shotgun Start.

Get you teams together now for a fun filled day on the links. Don’t have a foursome? Register yourself and be placed on with other golfers. Entertain clients with a day of golf and support the Chamber too.

Fees: $90 per golfer/ $360 per foursome. Dinner only: $45.

There are numerous opportunities to promote your business with sponsorships.

Raffle Prizes: Donate items for the golfers’ welcome gift bags.
