Falcons win thriller, one game from state

In game five of a WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal Thursday night at Elkhorn High School, the Westosha Central volleyball team overcame a 13-12 deficit to win, 19-17, and take a thrilling match from Kenosha Tremper, 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 17-25, 19-17.

The win propels the Lady Falcons to Saturday night’s sectional final against top-ranked Burlington, which beat Milton in three games.

The showdown is set for 7 p.m. at Lake Geneva Badger High School. Burlington and Westosha split in their two meetings this season.
