Wilmot hires new Teaching Director

Stevenson-Olson replaces Juech

Dr. Tracy Stevenson-Olson has been hired as the new Director of Teaching and Learning at Wilmot Union High School, replacing Michael Juech, who took a District Administrator at Bristol Grade School.

Stevenson-Olson, who takes over the position July 1, spent the last five years serving a variety of roles in the Milwaukee Public School system, according to a school press release.

Her roles included Director of Professional Development, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Director of School Support.

Before her tenure at MPS, she held the title of Chief Academic Officer for Rockford Schools, along with stints at Beloit Public Schools and Big Foot Union High School in Walworth.

“We were fortunate to have someone with strong high school curriculum background apply for this position,” stated Wilmot District Administrator Dan Kopp in a release. “I am excited to have Dr. Olson as a teammates as we strive for continued improvement in student achievement.”

Dr. Stevenson-Olson earned a doctorate in educational leadership from National Louis University in 2016, after obtaining a Master’s in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2002, where she received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education.

She also holds another Master’s degree in educational leadership from Aurora University, earned in 2004.
