Host families sought for exchange students

STS Foundation (a Department of State sponsored high school exchange program), a non-profit organization, is seeking caring families to open their homes to some of their exchange students this school year. This program seeks to promote cultural and educational exchange for students from many countries around the world.

Families throughout Wisconsin have been opening their homes to these students in the past and more families are being sought for these students for this next year.

Monica Jose, a recent host mom, says it was a very rewarding experience and she learned so much from the students she hosted from Switzerland, Australia and Armenia.

If your family would like to learn about another culture and country and help a teen learn about life in the Southern Wis., area, call to find out how your family can help an exchange student this next school year at (800) 522-4678, ext. 303, or email [email protected] to receive an application to host.

More information on hosting an exchange student can be found on our website at www.stsfoundation.org.

Host families are being sought in, Delavan, Darien, Elkhorn, Williams Bay, Lake Geneva and Twin Lakes areas to name a few.

Some possible students that you could host are Lisa, age 17, from Sweden; Dayanna, age 18, from Ecuador; Judin, age 17, from Italy; and Maximillian, age 16, from Austria.
