Second team all-state shortstop Kalyssa Koehn of Wilmot Union High School signed her National Letter of Intent to join North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota on Wednesday.

Koehn opted for the Bison after rescinding a verbal commitment to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay during the summer when the Phoenix coach resigned.

Koehn, who was joined by her family, friends and coaches at the NLI event, plans to study criminal justice.

The Westosha Report and Twin Lakes Report will have more on why she chose North Dakota State University in an upcoming print edition.
