Wilmot’s Coleman named first team all-SLC

Four members of the Westosha Central High School girls volleyball squad received a double dose of honors, including first team all Southern Lakes Conference, where a Wilmot Union High School player also appears.

The Falcons, who boast seniors Kaeley Mueller, Sarah Blair, Abi Marcquenski along with sophomore Laura Shoopman on the first-team, have sophomore setters Kennedy Muff and Sierra Lee on the second team.

Senior outside hitter Nikki Stratton, named honorable mention, rounded out the list of Falcon performers.

The four first team representatives are the most Westosha Central has had since 2013, when Danielle Rampart, Ashley Jehlicka and Hailie Hart received the honor.

For Mueller, it is her second straight first-team honor and third appearance, starting with her sophomore year when she received honorable.

Marcquenski and Lee, meanwhile, were on the second team last year.

Blair was an honorable mention as a junior.

Meanwhile, according to the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association, all four of the Falcons first team representatives notched all-state honors.

Mueller, an outside hitter, was named second team all-state while Blair, a libero, Marcquenski, a middle blocker and outside hitter Shoopman were added as honorable mention.
